This training will offer participants an opportunity to learn methods of working with children and young people on community art projects. The training is suitable for visual artists who are keen to learn more about this area of work and for professional workers in the children and young people sector such as youth workers for example. The training day will include verbal presentations as well as an opportunity to take part in practical sessions where you will be introduced to ideas and projects which you may be able to use in your own work. The course will be led by Manuela Niemetscheck who works as an Artist and Art Therapist in North Wales. She has facilitated community art groups for several years after studying Fine Arts and Museum Studies in Canada, and teaching art to children
in Catalunya. She is experienced in safely engaging children from pre-schoolers to teenagers, and is passionate about the value of art experiences for children. *A bilingual training day with the use of a simultaneous translation service.
